At UC KINDIES INTERNATIONAL PRESCHOOL, we believe that kindness starts with little hands and big hearts. One of the most important values we teach our little learners is “Sharing”—not just sharing gifts, but sharing love, time, help, and smiles!
How does the action of Sharing have an impact on a Pre-schooler?
For our pre-schoolers, Sharing is more than just sharing toys. It’s about:
- Helping a friend zip their backpack.
- Drawing a picture for mom or dad.
- Saying “thank you” with a hug.
- Offering a turn on the swing or slide.
- Sharing a tiffin with someone.
These small acts make a big difference in growing kind and caring hearts.
Why is Sharing Important?
Teaching children the joy of sharing helps them:
- Build empathy and understand others’ feelings.
- Learn gratitude and appreciate what they have.
- Create friendships based on kindness and respect.
- Feel confident and happy when they help others.
Sharing in Action at UC KINDIES
Throughout the year, our classrooms include fun activities and projects that encourage sharing, such as:
- Kindness Trees where kids add leaves with their kind acts.
- Toy Swap Days to learn about sharing and reusing.
- Thankful Circles where we talk about what we’re grateful for and what we can give.
- Mini sharing projects like drawing thank-you cards for school helpers or making friendship bracelets.
How Families Can Encourage Sharing at Home-
- Ask your child, “Who did you help today?”
- Make a habit of sharing compliments at the dinner table.
- Involve them in small sharing acts like donating clothes or baking for a neighbour.
- Read books together about kindness and generosity.
At UC KINDIES, we believe that when children learn the joy of sharing early on, they grow into thoughtful, compassionate individuals. Every little act counts—and it all starts with a sharing heart.
Let’s grow kindness, one small act at a time!
